How does stress affect your brian integration?

Welcome,my name is Marney Perna and I am the principle of KINIQUE, a kinesiology clinic which offers“kinesiology uniquely for you.”

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a Natural Therapy which has its basis in  Ancient Chinese Philosophy and incorporates modern western knowledge.  Ideally  in a holistic existence the Physical, Emotional and Chemical areas of life are even and interconnected.  For one side of your life to be uneven then it will have a direct effect on either or both of the other sides.  This creates disharmony and functionality is altered.  Kinesiology is a tool to help facilitate change to empower and bring back harmony and function.

How does Kinesiology work?

Kinesiology  uses a technique called muscle monitoring that helps identify why you are not feeling the best and how you can start to feel better.  The practitioner does this by showing the person how a muscle works with integrity and how, when under stress, that muscles’ integrity changes.  What this means is a muscle does a particular function and has specific range of movement, so when that muscle is activated it does the correct job.  However when that muscle is put under stress its function and range of movement is affected.  A muscle can be put under stress by many situations such as a physical trauma, an emotional trauma or even a chemical trauma.  Initially the brain is not aware of the actual reason it just is aware of possible injury, and therefore releases the muscle before it tears.

Our brain is used to receive and send messages to the various systems of our bodies.  This communication is used  in order to move, think, speak and in fact to exist.  Without this communication the body would flounder and not know what to do.  Our brain is a master computer and has an amazing number of files in its memory.  It is by the memory of continual and synchronized moment that  the neural pathways are created and these assist with the functions of the body.

The brain is made up with two distinct hemispheres, the left and the right.  These two hemispheres communicate through the fibres of the Corpus Callosum.  Both sides have very different functions however they need to be able to exchange information easily and fluently.  When the Corpus Callosum is “working” , we see it all, hear it all, remember it all, have easy co-ordination, write easily, feel centered are focused and anticipating the next step.

Stress can short circuit the communication pathways.   This means that the hemispherical integration does not go smoothly and dysfunction and disharmony occurs.  When this short circuit pathway is used on several occasions this lays down a new neural pathway that the body reverts to under a similar stress.  This is why, for example, someone who has had a traumatic experience with public speaking on more than one occasion will generally feel the same trauma or stress on each subsequent time they have to present a speech.  The body automatically reacts the same unless it is given new instructions.

How can Kinesiology Assist?

Kinesiology assists by helping to identify the original stress pattern, what systems in the body are being affected by the stress and by what method could that stress be defused.  In the above example of public speaking, it is not the physical action of speaking that causes the person to feel violently ill and faint.  It is the domino affect from the initial emotional trauma on the various systems of the body that causes that feeling.  As the person is put under stress the muscles of the throat constrict and affect the breathing, the stomach muscles tense, the body starts to sweat, and blood flow to the brain is slowed.  All this happens as a reaction and eventually the body is feeling weakened and faint, normal cognitive function is impaired and disharmony occurs.  Suddenly you can’ t speak, your thoughts are mixed up and your ability to recall information is reduced.  Your information highway the Corpus Callosum is blocked and at a standstill.

What can I expect at a Kinesiology Balance?

At KINIQUE, your initial kinesiology session generally takes about one and a half hours.  A detailed health assessment is taken and your issue is discussed.  Subsequent balances are then usually  one hour sessions.  I  recommend at least three sessions are booked in, so that the appointment times are allocated in advance.  My clients notice considerable improvement  from the very first balance.  Undressing is not a requirement for a kinesiology balance, however as muscle movement is required comfortable clothing is recommended.  Slacks, tracksuits etc are good.  Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

I encourage you to make the decision to “Change your life……..Today”
